Currently evaluating options for 7nm process. I'm actually not sure what's there to evaluate since their only option is SMIC.
3A6000 till be taped out in first half and provided to partners. Mass sales likely to happen next year. Keep in mind 3A6000 uses 12nm process from SMIC like 3C5000/3D5000. 3A5000 uses 14nm process

it believes 3A5000 is already competitive. 3A6000 going market will not stop sale of 3A5000 CPUs.
3A6000 development is finished and is in production now. I guess the second part just indicates that it takes time to have vendors to put 3A6000 on their PCs and integrate them and put them on the market. All of that takes time

Loongson's 3C5000 server CPU has now been adapted to China Unicom's Unicom Cloud. Its domestic virtualization cloud platform is now compatible with LoongArch ISA. It confirms that 3C5000 is sufficient for HPC needs of phone carrier.

3C5000 supports Docker and KVM virtualization route. It supports data center, cloud computing & high performance computing.

memory market continues to be weak in China.
This YMTC produced SSD 梵想 S500 Pro has dropped price again now.
same with TiPlus 7000 which is using the new Xtacking 3.0 architecture

Makes me think that it's not the worst thing in the world for YMTC to be having production issues at this very moment. The demand is weak and they can't sell out their SSD products. Sure, it would've been nice to see them take this opportunity to expand market share, but that would've been hard when everyone else is fighting for the same weak demand.

I was reading some rumor today that Japanese photoresist suppliers have stopped supplier KRF photoresist to a memory IDM on entity list, which seems to point to YMTC. It's really a good thing that Shanghai Sinyang can reliably supply YMTC with KRF photoresist and is hopefully getting close to finishing validating on ARF photoresist.

Tough world out there for leading Chinese fabs. They need all the help to getting domestic suppliers validated.

7nm could be done with DUVi.
