Note how the Chinese readout really differs from SCMP's...

"Just one trillion RMB is a bit of an understatement.... we will develop the IC industry with an even more important national grand strategy and it will not come in the form of investing one trillion RMB.... the keywords of the strategy will be scientific, comprehensive, systemic, continuous, and intensive." - Wei Shaojun
Yeah, I read this yesterday. I think his comments really shed light on how much investment China is prepared to through in this sector to support local industries and supply chain. After the US sanctions and disregard for WTO ruling under the guise of "national security", China will use the same excuse to just overwhelm this sector with subsidies.

Nanda Optoelectronics: Wulanchabu nitrogen trifluoride project is advancing as planned

Jiweiwang news (article/Yang Yanrou) On December 30, Nanda Optoelectronics stated on the investor interaction platform that the nitrogen trifluoride project in Wulanchabu is advancing as planned.

In addition, Nanda Optoelectronics stated that a photoresist that has been verified by the company has been sold, and the amount of this photoresist is small, so sales are low. At present, the company has a number of ArF lithography products for testing in large domestic chip manufacturers. Customers are very cautious about the use of photoresist products, so the company actively communicates with customers in the process of photoresist development, and dispatches on-site engineers to cooperate with verification work to lay a solid foundation for mass sales.

Previously, in response to the impact of macroeconomic fluctuations on the company's performance, Nanda Optoelectronics stated that the company's mass-produced products include MO sources, semiconductor precursors, electronic special gases, photoresists and supporting materials, etc., which can be used in thin film deposition, photolithography, It is applied in multiple integrated circuit manufacturing processes such as etching, doping, and cleaning. In addition to being affected by the macro economy, the company's performance growth is more affected by electronic information technology and the integrated circuit industry, which is also an important reason why the company has achieved good growth in the face of economic slowdown in recent years.

Some really important comments here about customers being cautious about new domestic products. It's up to the Chinese tool makers to work with fabs to get their product right. It's one thing to have a door opened to you because of sanctions and gov't subsidies, quite another thing to earn your customers business for long term.

Definitely, costumers need make sure that quality and the yield of their manufacturing process is not affected by introducing new products. But at the same time everyone in China is in the same boat "I hope so", that a positive feedback loop in the domestic semiconductor industry is needed to secure their supply chains.

Shanghai Jingce Semiconductor held a new product delivery ceremony again

The first bright field defect detection equipment BFI-100E and the first high-speed Driver ATE equipment J-Metron 6101 of Shanghai Jingji Micro-Semiconductor, a subsidiary of Shanghai Jingce Semiconductor, were officially delivered to customers recently. The above two devices are independently developed by the R&D team of Shanghai Jingji Micro Semiconductor and have completely independent intellectual property rights. This delivery has filled the gap of such equipment in the domestic semiconductor manufacturing field, enhanced the autonomy of domestic equipment in this field, and contributed to the localization of the semiconductor industry.

BFI series products are nano-scale high-precision bright field optical inspection systems for detecting various key process defects of wafers with patterns-mainly for various mature and advanced process technology chip factories. The equipment uses a nanoscale optical high-resolution system to scan and detect key areas of the entire wafer at high speed, quickly and accurately detect and obtain defect images and position information, and is an indispensable tool for improving chip manufacturing yield.

In recent years, panel driver chips have become more and more complex, with more and more functions, larger and larger circuit scales, and higher and higher operating speeds. The test of the corresponding panel driver chip faces the problems of increased test time and increased test cost. Only a test system that meets the requirements of higher performance, more functions and lower test cost can meet the test of current panel driver chips.

J-Metron 6101 supports high-voltage, high-precision and multi-gear testing; its optimized and customized spring dial is more reliable, easy to install, and easy to maintain; the single board can be flexibly configured according to the number of pins of the chip under test, which greatly improves the performance of the equipment. Cost-effective; the general software and hardware interface can quickly import the user's original test project, and realize mass production of products efficiently; the compact size of the equipment improves the efficiency of the customer's clean workshop.
