Samsung Electronics, rushing to mass-produce 3nm process... pointed out "Insufficient IP security"

Samsung Electronics is preparing to mass-produce the world's first 3nm GAA (gate-all-around) process. It plans to complete product design and quality verification with major customers within the first half of this year. However, it is reported that Samsung Electronics has not secured enough IP (design assets) for 3nm process customers so far.

According to the industry on the 18th, it is pointed out that preparations for IP library construction are insufficient for Samsung Electronics' development of the most advanced 3nm process.

It's interesting that Huawei's revenue has actually been increasing despite the us sanctions and it actually reached its highest ever revenue (and fortune global 500 rank) in 2021. I would've thought the loss of its mobile sector would have dropped its revenue.

I wonder how much of it is due to expanding its non handset business and how much was due to the chinese government pumping in cash

Edit: seems like fortune might be inaccurate and huawei revenue did drop in 2021
