The American political elite, who their voters continue to vote for, are in large part interested in keeping the status quo. That is especially true as far as the Republican Party is concerned on matters of modern infrastructure in area as energy, electricity, telecommunications, and transportation. There is no great urgency on their part to ensure that great improvements are made that will be in the public interest, because their mindsets lack conviction on the issue and the general public do not punish them for it. They are however very happy to direct expenditures to military contractors and greatly increase defence budgets.

My only complaint is the title of the article itself. I believe there is a typo error in the year. Instead of saying " Vedanta to invest up to $ 20 billion in semiconductor business in India, rollout in 2025." , it should have been "Vedanta to invest up to $ 20 billion in semiconductor business in India, rollout in 2052" .
Vedanta to invest up to $20 billion in semiconductor business in India, rollout in 2502

You mean like China and global warming? Or China with its hypersonic rockets and giving money to N Korea for weapons?

But why would anyone pay Billy Bob Jones FAANG level salary when some Jai Hind guy can do pretty much the same job at 50 cents an hour?
