Let me give you an example. These companies supply 1 number to STAR but may have 5 different product areas. Applied Materials has about 20 different types of equipment and supplies 1 number to the SEC. How does one, and myself included as an analyst, find out revenues by sector, such as deposition, and subsector, such as PVD, ALD, PEVCD, etc, and compare revenues to Tokyo Electron that competes in these sectors, versus Lam Research that doesn't sell PVD. Only 1 number to STAR or SEC doesn't cut it.
Some companies like AMEC and Naura publish detailed sales reports in Chinese on their website, which are not always up to date. For other companies it is possible to find investor meeting transcripts on some Chinese investment sites. Other companies, such as SMEE, are part of a larger investment group and are not publicly traded, making sales figures more difficult to find.

is good place to get detailed annual reports about publicly traded Chinese semi companies. Not only sales but also what they are researching, product status, level with international similar products and risk assessment. The problem is that Chinese companies usually have two names one in English and another in Chinese so is pretty tricky.

The company's Beijing Keystone (Kingstone Semiconductors?) plans to sell multiple 12-inch integrated circuit equipment, including low-energy large-beam ion implanters and low-energy large-beam ultra-low temperature ion implanters. At present, the global semiconductor industry is still in short supply, and downstream terminal manufacturers keep stockpiles as normal. The production capacity of wafer fabs continues to expand, and the supply of semiconductor equipment is in short supply. According to SEMI statistics, 29 fabs will be expanded globally in 2022, with a production capacity of up to 400,000 wafers per month. China and Taiwan will each expand eight fabs, which will undoubtedly boost the demand for semiconductor equipment significantly.
On the other hand, in recent years, the supply chain strategy of domestic fabs has changed, and the mode of batch procurement to support strategic suppliers has been activated, and close linkage with domestic equipment manufacturers has been strengthened to create a positive circular ecological chain of self-reliance and self-improvement.
It can be seen that domestic semiconductor equipment manufacturers should seize the new round of opportunities and accelerate continuous breakthroughs. As the four core equipment in the front line of integrated circuits, the development of ion implanter equipment is extremely difficult, second only to lithography machines, and has long been monopolized by overseas equipment manufacturers Applied Materials and Axceils. It is reported that at present, a 12-inch logic chip production line with a monthly output of 10,000 pieces requires about 20 ion implanters. Therefore, there is a huge space for domestic alternatives, and the market prospect of ion implanters is broad.
