The first box girder used for the construction of bridges along the Wanzhou section of Chongqing-Wanzhou high-speed railway was successfully concreted Friday, marking the official start of box girders production for the construction of Wanzhou section of the railway.





After the completion of the Chongqing-Wanzhou high-speed railway with a designed speed of 350 km per hour, the travel time from Chongqing to Wanzhou will be shortened to less than one hour.

National Railway Administration announced that older diesel models will be withdrawn from key areas by 2027 and completely retired by 2035. "Older diesel models" includes the the DF (东风) series, GK (工鉱) series, imported locomotives such as the ND5 and NJ2, and the NDJ3 DMU. In addition to next generation diesel locomotive replacements (FXN3C and FXN5C), hybrid locomotives such as the FXN3B, FXN3D, HXN6, FXD1H, FXD3H, and the CN series for regional railways will also be in service in the future.

A freight train carrying 28 Guizhou-made new energy buses departed from the Guiyang Dulaying International Land-Sea Logistics Port in Southwest China's Guizhou province to Vientiane South Station in Laos on Oct 28.



The buses are produced by Chery & Wanda Guizhou Bus, a leading enterprise in Guizhou's new energy bus manufacturing industry. With advantages including zero emissions, low noise and smooth operation, the buses will provide strong support for green and intelligent development of public transportation in Laos.



The freight train is the first special transport train service since the China-Laos Railway opened in December 2021, providing a more convenient and efficient logistics channel for further cooperation and trade exchanges between Guizhou and Laos.
