Chinese purchase of Su-35

Never heard of this type of missile.

That is one of the more hideosly written article I've seen in a while. Clearly the person who wrote the article has ZERO idea on what he was talking about in regards to missile technologies. The only thing I get from this article is that it may add some credibility to the purchase about the SU-35 for it's OBS capabilities but even then it seems dumb to me. Surely China has the resources to learn/copy etc from current systems on the market w/o resorting to buying an entire fleet of planes it may not even need or want.
There is nothing inherent on the SU-35 airframe to make it 'shoot missiles' backwards! LOL

There was a talk about rear-facing Phazotron N-012 radar on Su-35 , although I don't know if that got to production version . Nevertheless , if you want to shoot missiles backwards (not over the shoulder , but backwards ) you would need some sensor array to detect targets in rear hemisphere . Sensors on missiles are too limited in this regard , so some kind of radar or IRST is needed .

The missile has a "nose cone" over the rocket engine and modified fins to prevent instability problems while briefly flying backwards after launch

How does a rocket engine with a "nose cone" fitted over its nozzles work? Would the nose cone inflate like a balloon when the rocket engine fires to arrest the "briefly flying backwards after launch" of the missile?

The missile should more likely launch, fly out while turning 180 degrees (obviously would require some level of comm with launching aircraft). Given that a lot of the rocket motor would be burned by turning around, the range would be a lot shorter than the theoretical maximum.

The J-11B, IIRC, has MAWS, but I don't know if the current model is sensitive enough to find a bogey on your rear.

MAWS works in the ultraviolet band to better detect rocket exhaust plumes. I am not sure how well that works against an nose on aircraft.

Lol, better not try to imagine how that would work. It would be interesting to know where the writer got the idea from. If he just make it all up by himself, nothing can prevent him from making up the rest of the story in the news article.

Same news but from different source . Bold part is particularly interesting :

WanChinaTimes is not a credible source stop linking their articles here. Why is this thread still open ? Why are people still posting here ? Why would China buy the SU-35 if they already got the J-10B and the J-16 is down the pipeline in the next few years and not to mention the J-20 further down the road ? If there is going to be a sale of the SU-35 why are the Chinese government saying that they are not interested in the SU-35 and why are the Russian government saying that they are not going to sell the F-35 to China ?

I don't buy the story that China is buying the SU-35 just for the Al-41 engines. The WS-15 is in development and the WS-10 is progressing nicely. I don't think that China is going to spendt billions of dollars on a foreign fighter platform and its associated weapons and support systems. And i don't think that Russia is going to want to sell the SU-35 to China as they don't want sensetive technology to fall in the Chinese hands.

If you want your opinion to be respected then why so much negative about others with different opinion? I mean you clearly write about your views not the reality...

Something like picture below , only you need to imagine rocket blast going forward instead to the sides . It could be done , and it could be just the first stage of the missile (second stage could be usual ) . But , it would be complicated and costly .
