Chinese purchase of Su-35

well ....., J-11B and J-10B are already more advanced than anything the Japanese or Korean have (note F-22 is not owned by the Japanese)
The Chinese J-11 are not more advanced, the Japanese have AAMs like the AAM-5 that is an AIM-9X type missile, the J-11 do not super cruise, and do not have thrust vectoring nozzles, so on a fight the F-15Js are only older

watch the F-15Js showing their AAM-5s.

The F-2 has also AESA radars.

So no, the J-11s and J-10 do not have any advantage, but parity, yes they are not inferior, but not superior

unlikely, China doesn't need SU-35 ... unless a political move

Source is more credible this time around

I don't really want to go there (Japan vs China), this is my last post for the off topic
you are correct for J-11A and J-10A. But J-11B and J-10B are more advanced

They do not have ToT, basically, the Su-35s are going to be build in Russia, and the engines will have several limitations, if China will copy them, it will not be by legal means, basically 85 million dollars a piece is not a bargain considering China can build a Su-27 with Russian engines for a cheaper price and even buying the Al-31s these engines do not go beyond 3 million dollars a piece

That's why I used the word ASSUMED there is a ToT.

Now Russia has sold 24 SU-35 fighters to China and it knows very well China won't order more those fighters in the future. I bet it will finally willing to supply 117S to China, hoping to capture part of J20 program.

Have you taken a look at the F-15J's cockpit vis-a-vis those of the J-11B and J-10A/B, and what does supercruise have anything to do with these?

The F-15Js, unlike J-11s, obtained BVR capability only in recent times.
