Well neither is Cambodia in that case.Strictly speaking, Tajikistan is not overseas from China.
Well this is getting very pedantic, but I would say Cambodia qualifies as overseas because you can't go directly from China to Cambodia overland.

Hi all, really new here. I found this forum a little while ago and it helps very much in my open source research that is focused around security and military in South East Asia. Firstly I just want to say that I don't share the negative mentality towards China that some others display. I have an interest in the region and in the military and so it seemed the perfect area to focus learning a little more. I noticed there is a lot of expertise and interest around the Ream Naval Base in Cambodia. I'd like to do a little project around it to possibly add some original insight to the OSINT community and was hopeful that this forum could help. I have a satellite image and would be grateful if anyone could tell me anything about the vessels in the image. There appears to be three different types, but I could be wrong. Also, my guess would be that they are either Chinese or Cambodian but I may be wrong. Many Thanks, A.

You're looking at the wrong section of the base. The only PLAN ships observed were the two 056A corvettes at the new pier (the long one).
a little more movement on this front. Rotational presence here where Cambodia stations its own navy is probably the most logical solution that would also work with Cambodian constitution. Now, they can do free lease of air defense equipment in the area also.
