US to link up with Taiwan and Japan drone fleets to share real-time data

Military co-ordination with Taipei is ‘taboo’ issue for China, analysts said

The US, Taiwan and Japan are to share real-time data from naval reconnaissance drones, according to four people familiar with the project, demonstrating Washington’s push to strengthen co-ordination in the event of a Chinese attack on Taiwan.

Personally I've love to see a PLAN base in Cuba. I think the Cubans can be persuaded.

, and United States will continue pushing this line further, and further, and further, until there's a military base in Taiwan.

When is China going to actually respond in kind? If United States wants to give Taiwan more military integration and more weapons, sell weapons to Syria. Then, very publicly tell the world that this is in retaliation to United States arming Taiwan. United States does something else? United States sells ships? Missiles? More F-16s? Sell even better weapons, hell, give Syria a loan to buy advanced air defenses and even the ability to retaliate against Israel.

This'll pressure US allies like Israel to start lobbying US to stop messing around.

I'm really getting tired of constant escalations from United States without a meaningful response. China needs to send a clear signal that US meddling won't just force China's hand on Taiwan alone. No, there will be global consequences about things United States actually cares about. Like its position in the Middle East, Europe, and South America. And that's not an excessive response. It is proportional, it is fair, and most importantly, its meaningful. It actually raises people's attention and makes it clear that China will not allow these shenanigans to go unpunished.

I don't understand why China doesn't do something like this...

You're thinking too small, China is already selling 12 052Ds to the new gulf joint navy.

China and Israel will sign a FTA soon, this will definitely rustle some American feathers. Leak some more news about how Israeli tech (especially spy & military) are being used in China and watch the Americans seethe. Plant other stories like Chinese EVs in Israel could capture US military secrets, or Chinese built port can spy on US naval base. Pretty soon more and more Americans will question if Israel really is America's #1 Ally. Then Netanyahu visits China, in response China proposes to send a special envoy to help achieve piece in Palestine and the US state dept will really freak the **** out.

I don't see why you think this would antagonize United States. There are plenty of people with Russian weapons who are US aligned.

I really don't think you're reading this situation correctly. Moreover, the Middle East is not particularly drifting out of America's defensive umbrella, and Israel will never abandon United States. Israel doesn't see itself as an independent power, they are fully wedded to being an American vassal because United States guarantees the security and survival of the Jewish nation. So United States, while concerned that the Gulf states are becoming closer to China, is not really annoyed by "Peace" in the middle east. The only reason they are annoyed, is because Iran is becoming less isolated.

What I am arguing for, is that China should do something that very loudly and very clearly hurts American interests. All of this "subtlety" stuff is just really weak and doesn't deter or impose costs on United States' meddling in cross-strait relations.

MQ-9 uses SATCOM. Of course the US will get the first dip of the data collected by the drone fleet. When the civil war restarts, very few things will work on the Taiwan Island

I don't think it is, and that's the problem.

I agree that China's efforts in the Gulf are serious, and another axis of dislodging US hegemony. But I don't think this is the sort of thing that concerns the State department. In the State Department's eyes, they don't really like Saudis anyway, and those people can be "bought back" or strong-armed at a later date.

What China needs to do, is actually give the State department a nightmare. Selling capable systems to US enemies would do that. A base in Cuba as someone suggested, would do that.

A sequel of Nightmares on Elm Street: Nightmares on C Street.
the spectre of Freddy (imaginary or real) lives on within Blinken's office, and perhaps his bedroom too.
Am I too mean? May be, but I enjoy the thought, haahaa.

Do you have a source for this? The only info I found online were some references to

that there were unconfirmed talks for the acquisition, tech transfers and construction. I couldn't trace any article to any source that specifically mentions 12 ships.

This seems like a classic case of a rumor of something very preliminary of something plausible on something people would really like to hear and social media and internet headline writers started quoting each other and referencing unconfirmed details as fact and manifesting a story out of it.

I have no official sources, treat my assertions as just rumors for the time being. We'll probably find out the truth within a year.
