Just my guessing. This engine is high-speed diesel for electricity generation. Direct drive diesel egines are midium or low speed engines. This could be a special catagory that China is still catching up. Rumor has that the 3.75MW diesel engine in Ma Weiming's IEPS was actually domestically made MTU. I looked at some other Chinese manufacturer's web site, many their products are domestically made foreign designs. What makes this report uniq is that it is fully Chinese IP.Anything special of 3.5MW diesel engine? China has developed much higher rating already
