I saw a short pirated clip of LOCH, it seems like it does a speed-run on parts of the full novel. There are scenes of Hong7 training him and 7masters dying on peach island.

Ne Zha 2 is continuing to rack up impressive box office numbers. The Maoyan box office tracker is predicting:

¥824M on Mon
¥659M on TUE

For a 7-day total of US$635M

And lifetime gross of ¥6.82M / US$950M

Note: No movie in history has ever grossed US$1B in a single market. The closest and current single market record is held by Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), which did US$936.7M for both US and Canada (somehow American counts both the US & Canada box office together as "Domestic").

The path is now open for Ne Zha 2 to be the first US$1 billion grossing film for a single market in history.

Previous 7-day total projection was US$635M
Actual 7-day total as of today is US$673M (¥4.83B)

Maoyan is now projecting a lifetime gross of US$1.22B (¥8.74B)

has shattered all box office records. it become the first film ever to surpass $1 Billion in a single market. but also becomes the only non-Hollywood film to cross $1 Billion mark.

The crazy thing is that so far its presale of working day next week show no sign of obvious decline.

life time gross heading towards $1.4 billion to $1.5 billion.
