VFX/CGI is always depend on the budget.. this one looks decent and which company did the VFX of this film ??

i agreed with your thought but i think in past few years, Chinese studios have massively improved in their CGI department even Japanese acknowledged regarding anime quality.

in recent years, we have seen the boom of Chinese entertainment industry so they will gradually move towards domestic companies just like industrial development.

I have recently viewed Hero (2002, Zhang Yimou). One of the most visually stunning films I've ever seen. Every frame is like a painting.
