Is this thing for real?? If they've already got a prototype IN CHINA, then the development must've been like totally "whoooosh", or they started waay before the signed the contract to develop it like last year.
Sure looks like a good plane though, the best looking helicopter I've ever seen come from Russia (must've been the Chinese influence
)
And is that a radar under the cockpit area? I thought this was a heavy lift chopper rather than a ASW platform... This is a lot of "wth" imho.

This is not come from Russia, its Z-18, which is merely an modified/updated Z-8, which is original designed in France.
You sure? Cause you know they are J-8 in the background, and France don't have Chinese military hardware. Z-8 is produced in China, of the Super Frelon. Can you provide an article of the upgraded Z-8 designated as Z-18? It looks more of a Mi descent.
Well, being edited by PS means nothing:
1, They may simply use PS to reduce the size of picture taken by digital camera such that such pic can be uploaded to internet
2, If you are somewhat experienced, you can actually remove the PS-label easily even if your picture has been heavily PS-ed:
For instance: first edit the pic in Photoshop etc, then convert the format of picture into some format that doesnt support authority informations, i think BitMap (BMP format) is among one of these, then use other simple software to convert the BMP to whatever file format.
Anyway, I think this along proves little.

There is some model of something rumored to be z-18 looks identical to this thing, thats why I think its Z-18.
