No they're Kunlun (WP-14). Kunlun-II in fact. When the Kunlun was first finished, news of that was never released to the media. But when the Kunlun II was finally finished, the media finally reported it. They're meant for the J-8II or J-7.

How do you tell bro? are there any special things in WS-10 (and other engines) that could be used to tell one from the other??:)

For any particular reason?

These kunlun engine pics were from Zhuhai 2004 btw. They're not new pics. The gearboxes on the bottom are identical to those used for the WP-13s, intended to work on the same planes (J-8II, J-7). If you wish, you can compare the pictures with the WP-13 and check the gearboxes in particular.

oh I know that. I was just wondering if what you do on forums relates to what you do in real life, just like Kramer. Will, in his case, did.

OK guys, please cut the chit-chat; you can do that with PM or start a thread like what Golly and Sam did.

Crobato do you think these are Chinese engines?

I am not sure about the last three. The first two look like gas turbines used for electrical power generation. There is such a turbine for that purpose based on the WS-10. The third picture could be WP-7, WP-13 or R-11 Turmansky but I'm not that sure.

This is talking about the development of the Thrust Vectoring control?

It says the factory has the first domestic large size add temperature, add pressure testbed for fighter engines, the first domestic tstbed for thrust vectoring controller (any idea what the 6 in 6分力 is talking about, guys?)

I'm guessing this is the run about before WS-10B can be certified. Now, the testing for TVC can get started.
