It's possible the WS-10A is a further improvement over the WS-10, and both the J10A and J11B are able to use WS-10A. There may be 2 variants of WS-10A with different gearbox positions to accomodate both the aircraft types. The articles never say it's the WS-10 or WS-10A.

If the WS10A issue solved, does that means WS-13 also solved?
it should be since they probably share the same type of technology.

Export to Pakistan depends on those.

Ws-13/RD-33 was basically early 70's technology.T:W ratio at 7.5 same as RB-119.already russia is developing 106 kn version for MiG-35.
PA should have selected M-88 rather than RD-33

I think the days we see the domestic engines the Fc-1 and J-10 , then we can confirm it can achieve mass production status.

Sorry to post so late on this, but I was just skimming the thread and noticed this is claimed as WS-10. That is Al-31, no doubts about it.

I thought you were comparing WS10 with AL-30F? :confused:
I hope You do realize that WS10 and WS10A look completely different.

Look at the front, the WS10 has front nod green color whereas the AL-30F has metalic color.
