Latest - CJ-1000A has started the air trials on IL-76. yes air trials has already begun. soon we will see some exclusive pics

multiple flying test has planned, which will be conducted throughout the year to collect the engine data.

here are some pics of CJ-1000 engine in my database.View attachment 92192View attachment 92193View attachment 92194View attachment 92196View attachment 92197View attachment 92198
@sunnymaxi bro question, is there a civilian version using WS15 core?

@latenlazy thanks for the info, I thought maybe they will follow the WS20 using the WS10 core?
WS-20 used the WS-10’s core the same way the CFM-56 shared cores with the F110, but this was a development approach to engines from back in the 90s. China went with this approach for the WS-20 for their military transport solution because it was faster than designing a modern high bypass turbofan from scratch. You don’t see the F119 core being shared with any civilian turbofans, because it overperforms for some parameters and underperforms for others relative to ideal requirements for civilian jet engines today.

WS-15 is in testing phase since summer 2021. if all goes well, then small scale production can start by the end of this year or in Q1-2023.
Is this true? I thought previously on this thread that the WS-15 development did not go well and was further delayed? Hope I'm wrong.

You'll have to define what your understanding of "development did not go well" and "was further delayed" means in terms of timing and the nature of which delays you believe are there.

Fair enough. I thought metallurgy was still an issue and they were not able to complete the WS-15 as the high temperature was melting the part of the engine thus it was delayed and there wasn’t a specific launch date. Many here lamented that the WS was delayed for a decade or so.
