What kind of familiarity do the WS-13 and its evolution have with the future WS-19 engine?
The should be about the same dimension, since the initial J-35s are testing with WS-21 (which is an uprated version of WS-13) and eventually switch to WS-19 probably near the end of this next decade. I'm guessing JF-17s can also be equipped with WS-21.What kind of familiarity do the WS-13 and its evolution have with the future WS-19 engine?
Aside from size? Not muchWhat kind of familiarity do the WS-13 and its evolution have with the future WS-19 engine?
WS-15 is in testing phase since summer 2021. if all goes well, then small scale production can start by the end of this year or in Q1-2023.Anyone able to translate? WS-15 being put into service imminent?
so you seriously think. WS-19 will be ready for service by the end of this decade. no its not.Understand J20 could not enter into service without WS15. But it was developed in the last decade. if J21 has to wait for WS19 until the end of 2020s, it will be a major step back. It should go into service in the next 2-3 years with WS19 on board.
I understand that the WS-13 in its current version adopts elements of the WS-10 B. And that in turn benefits from new metallurgical processes.
Yea, the WS-19 can kind of 'coast' or like ride in the back of the WS-15 development, so it really is only gonna be like a bit behind the WS-15, which is nearing production.so you seriously think. WS-19 will be ready for service by the end of this decade. no its not.
technological advancement in recent years and stable supply chain always helps. so most probably engine will be ready to enter in serial production by 2023-24.
