Well, IIRC, the WS-10 engine wasn't quite on schedule (it only started flying on the J-11 in 2002).

What does "delivered" mean? Volume production? What kind of monthly output?

It's test copy, so that means prototype (maybe a few at most, unless you're willing to risk concurrency costs).
They never say behind of schedule. I thought this was delivered for testing already.
The timing seems to be about right actually.

Yes agree and it just takes time and China has the time. The rest of the plane is not ready so best work together to get all the pieces more or less ready at the same time. Say 2020.
