Fucking Communists...Almost in every single year since 2010 they overestimated US performance while underestimating Chinese performance.

The interesting part is that while 5% looks worse than the 5.2% in 2023; but this is misleading - as Q2 in 2022 was terrible with -2.3% growth, creating a low base for 2023 and if we adjust for this the growth was only about 4.8% in 2023.IMF revises China growth forecast for 2024 upwards to 5%:
It's actually kinda ironic, when they do that, it would cause the Chinese economy to appear even more powerful as it is "beating" the predictions whereas America is "falling short"Almost in every single year since 2010 they overestimated US performance while underestimating Chinese performance.
Obviously then it must mean the Chinese numbers are fabricated!Almost in every single year since 2010 they overestimated US performance while underestimating Chinese performance.
Well if there were much better companies, then they should naturally outcompete the, "mediocre," companies through market competition. Removing, "mediocre," companies is harmful to the better companies, as then the better companies have less incentive to become better. Without competition, you simply won't have "much better companies." There is no need to interfere in something (market competition) that works. What can I say, when you have much better companies the mediocre ones takes the room away. From that standpoint it is trash.
Dont even mention Dell, even worse garbage that makes Lenovo looks good. Both company are merely surviving on inertia.
You can bet they will revise that higher again in a few months. The same thing every year...The interesting part is that while 5% looks worse than the 5.2% in 2023; but this is misleading - as Q2 in 2022 was terrible with -2.3% growth, creating a low base for 2023 and if we adjust for this the growth was only about 4.8% in 2023.
Meaning Chinese growth is actually accelerating slightly this year, contrary to the prevailing narrative of stagnating economic growth.
Another important aspect of Lenovo is that they are one of the big three for business computers. Asus, Xiaomi, and whatever have zero presence in business computing and most likely will continue to have very little presence because of sheer inertia. Almost all of the other Chinese PC manufacturers lack the global maintenance networks and fleet management capabilities that Lenovo has. Killing Lenovo would leave the only two main suppliers of business computers solely in American hands with HP and Dell.Obviously then it must mean the Chinese numbers are fabricated!

Market mechanisms aside, Lenovo is useful in that it it is less likely for Lenovo products to be barred overseas than products using all Chinese components. It can bring in stable overseas revenues in ways that many other domestic companies cannot.
This is a retaliation I didn't expect, I wonder whom it'll affect.Beijing announces export control on parts and engines of aerospace equipment and gas turbines. US, Germany, Saudi Arabia are the top importers of “aircraft, spacecraft and parts thereof” from China during the first 4 months of 2024. Taking effect as of July 1, relevant equipment, software and technology will not be allowed to be exported without permission. US, France and Hong Kong the top importers of goods belonging to “turbojets, turbopropellers and other gas turbines, and parts thereof” in same period.
Given the US was within the top 3 of importers for all those categories of goods, it stands to reason that US companies importing those goods will be most affected. As well as the customers of those US companies. This is a retaliation I didn't expect, I wonder whom it'll affect.
