I am saying even if they go all Chinese, it remains garbage.
I have been using Thinkpads (both for work and personal) for the last couple of decades, and it is currently my daily driver. I prefer it over all others, including Apple laptops, actually. My family feels differently however, it is Apple or die. But I do agree the pace of innovation from Lenovo can be improved. For example, they still insist on using a proprietary charging port when they should be using usb-c.

For my company the situation is reversed lol, the latitudes are given to the temp employees and they are the ones with the proprietary chargers while the thinkpads have USB-C

I’ve realized just how powerful Chinese innovation is by reading the last two pages. Lenovo a trash company… Do you know how many countries would die to possess a trash company like that?
Some upstarts like Mechrevo coming out with the 翼龙15pro with a full metal chassis, an RTX 4060 + AMD 8845H with a massive 99.9Whr battery, an excellent display and a beautiful white finish. All at 880USD is incredible. These upstarts are slowly eating into Lenovo's more premium offerings like the Legion and Legion Slim series with comparable specs that are priced around 1100-1200USD.

What can I say, when you have much better companies the mediocre ones takes the room away. From that standpoint it is trash.

Dont even mention Dell, even worse garbage that makes Lenovo looks good. Both company are merely surviving on inertia.
