It's like a flu if you are at least double japped. I myself got COVID, after Five days,it was gone. I was double Japped at that time. China should focus on Vaccinations more than on 0 COVID Policy. China doesn't use hard coercive measures to force vaccinations like in the West. Also per latest research, Chinese vaccines have the same effectiveness as Western mRNA vaccines when given a 3rd-shot.
However, most of the people are only with 2-doses where there is still some difference in vaccine effectiveness. Then we have to consider that vaccination rate for the elderly has not been very bad (lack of coercive measures)
There is also something that no one wants to talk about, politics. If you thought that its science > politics, then you would be wrong. Its basically an open secret that this zero covid strategy will be dropped after the Party Congress in Fall.
Zero covid strategy will be dropped for what strategy? They moved on from calling it zero-covid to "dynamic clearing" in Chinese articles, and have been modifying and testing their covid strategy for Shanghai lately. What I think might likely happen is they'll stop doing full scale lockdowns, reorient their strategy around slowing the spread and minimizing the disruptions it has on businesses. But still they really need to speed up their vaccine drive for the elderly, most the deaths currently in Shanghai is from elders with pre-existing health conditions.
Some friends in Shanghai and Shenzhen are saying the Shanghai covid blow up is due mainly to sabotage... spies and traitors intentionally spreading thre virus, with CCTV security cameras and AI software catching more than a few of these evil individuals whose interests are more aligned with the US than China's, some of them are locals although it can't be verified whether they were paid or not. Nonetheless police and state security personnel are on to them...
This isn't farfetched actually, some guy got charged and imprisoned in HK for spreading the virus intentionally. The question now is how to catch and limit these individual's success, figure how they got in contact or paid by foreign forces, and their means of disease transmission.
