Many foreign brands have been losing their market share due to their boycott of Xinjiang cotton as many Chinese are boycotting these companies as a retaliation. Hopefully, these companies can take this opportunity to move up the value chain and quality.

No, hopefully these companies either learn their lesson and not fall for the blatant lies of the western "intelligence" services, or go bankrupt. Under no circumstances do I wish those opposed to China to improve themselves.

China and France signed their fourth round of demonstration projects on third-party market cooperation lately, with a total investment of more than $1.7 billion covering areas including infrastructure, environmental protection and new energy, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), China's top economic planner, announced on Monday.

The third-party markets include Africa as well as Central and Eastern Europe, and the methods of cooperation are diversified, including joint financing and joint investment, and projects where the Chinese side will be awarded engineering procurement construction contracts and France will be responsible for investing. Those projects are set to play an active role in social and economic development of the third parties.

Decades from now historians will view Trump's withdrawal from TPP as the biggest strategic error of the early 21st century and a key turning point towards the end of US hegemony.
No doubt Trump will be credited with singlehandedly giving life to the Chinese semiconductor industry (SMIC had been disappointingly uncompetitive after almost 2 decades), but even Hillary was against TPP. And the Congress was not going to pass it regardless.

Hilary was against TPP because Bernie Sanders was against it for hurting US workers. This message resonated with the Democratic party primary voters which heavily pressured Hillary to adopt the same stance.

The real comrade has always been Bernie Sanders
