Well just as you wrote that, WSJ published an article

which doesn't make sense because Germany unbanned Huawei and EU is about to sign an investment deal with China. Is WSJ trying to fool itself? Ah Q syndrome? And there's RCEP too. Where's the pushback? Africa? Latin America? I just don't see it.
WSJ is the weirdo delusional reporting from alternate planet that is so alone with its lonely delusion, and they have face to call it a report.

Reuter reports all is ok too.. along with FT, Bloomberg, SCMP..

"China and the European Union are likely to clinch a deal this week that would give EU firms better access to the Chinese market, improve competition conditions and protect EU investment in China, European officials said on Monday."
Don't think that the US didnt help LOL../s

"But tensions in trade relations between the United States and China may have helped change the Chinese position and bring about a deal between Beijing and Brussels, officials said."
Wednesday, that's tomorrow from today.

"As things stand now, the political agreement between the EU and China will be sealed on Wednesday."

I'm impressed.
This time last year (Dec 2019 - Jan 2020) I was quite concerned for China. It had HK protest, full on attacks sponsored by foreign agents and quickly replaced by a even more malicious threat - Coronavirus.
Add in -
-Trade war with USA (where it seemed like China had to buckle first)
-A border confrontation with India.

To say I was concerned is actually an understatement. Many other members were quite distressed too (if I may speak for others).

How quickly has the situation changed.

Coronavirus reigned in.
RCEP signed.
USA in turmoil due to Covid and elections.
EU economy in turmoil.
China managing to confront India into the winter.
And now a deal with EU.

Is it just pure luck or clever " 3D Chess" played by CCP members? I think it's the former. Luck is with China.

The harder you work, the luckier you get. That's why China is lucky

This is why Amerikkka so desperate to kill Huawei, to stop China 5G.... 5G is the infrastructure China and the rest of the world needs to implement the sort of digital currency to bypass the grip of the US petrodollar that Amerikkka weaponizes to enslave the world... With the Yanks its always projection and assuming the victim of guilt... The US wanted to reserve the right at any point in time to block all Chinese digital currency from international use by forcing Western telecoms to drop /block Chinese payment apps at the network layer, (just like Trump signed Executive Orders to force Apple and Google to delist WeChat/TikTok from the Apple and Google play store platforms etc) and the only way it could do this was if it forced all the countries to ban Huawei/China 5G and jump on the Pompeo "CLEAN NETWORK" bandwagon so that US again like always can weaponize their leverage and assert full dominance control to enslave the world with the petrodollar usury...

That is warfare.

It is what Clauswhich said.

When an attack or campaign is started, the longer it goes the advance, the weaker it becomes. Eventually the supply lines becomes stretched or you run out of ammo.

Look at what happened. The United States started a trade war with China. The United States started a Huawei 5G war worldwide. When that was not enough, it implemented a full ban of any sales to Huawei without permits. Then the United States later on banned SMIC semiconductors. Then the past two weeks the United States banned sales of items to companies like DJI.

This is the point.

When the opponent has it attack go on for this long, inevitably that loses strength.

Consider what happened these past two months:-

*** China signs the RCEP
*** China goes on with the vaccine diplomacy a big success
*** no one bans Huawei especially the Germans
*** now they with sign the CAI between the EU and China

That is the point.

There is no American push-back or resistance to these counter attacks from the Chinese side. They the USA exhausted themselves with their previous campaigns of trade war tech war etc.

So the Chinese finally launched a counter attack, and it was freaking devastating.

This freaking changes the world.

Chairman Mao loved reading Clauswhich.

:p
Hi horse,

Or maybe Mao and his disciple practice Tai Chi, a good summary on Clausewitz though , love to discuss war history and tactics with you.

Yup as Jim Rogers once said " Lady Luck smiles on the deserving" to which I would add "luck smiles on those who continue to work //strive".
