CCP are the rich and rich will do what it takes to stay rich and get richer.

Alibaba and all these companies only got rich because the CCP let them. Jiang zemin was instrumental in the rise of Alibaba.

As Xi said, grow the pie. Even he acknowledges the issue with destroying what’s already built.

The correct way forward is to remove privileges for these large companies. Like how when Amazon didn’t pay sales tax for years, but they added taxes too late. CCP should take swift action to remove alibaba’s state influences.

Lil uppity gremlin Jack Ma wouldn’t have become shit without the CCP in the beginning

But China is planning to change economy tack from supply side to demand side economy by improving social welfare and increasing the capital gain tax on the wealthy. I don't think Jiang Zheming is malicious when he promote Alibaba, Baidu etc. At that time China need to developed national champion to galvanized China technical skill. promote export economy since Chinese internal market is weak.

Just like anything else Economy need constant adjustment Now that Chinese are richer they can support internal demand That is what they plan to do by boosting internal demand, equalize wealth, further advance social welfare network, adjusting income and capital gain tax, tackling a yawning rich-poor gap. abolishing unfair and egregious Hukou system, etc

I’m guessing he had no patent on it?
Even if he had, what could he even do about it? Amazon can hire the best lawyers and the drag the court case for years , draining him of his resources. We're talking about few small entrepreneurs vs a Trillion dollar corporation.

To make a more equal economy you need to take power away from the rich, but not their wealth.

But China’s rich are CCP so there’s a conflict of interest.

Not sure how that works.
Being rich & being in power simultaneously is destructive when someone uses it for exploitation to get rich.

Otherwise those two has no relation. It's human nature that's the problem.

I know some rich guys who got into top position politically & well respected among masses. My city's own mayor is one of them.

Maybe the only solution are cyclic communist revolutions to restart the system?

Kill the previous rich then you hope to get rich in the new round.

You've made good points at your latest comments, these things are concerning me too as an observer. As for the last, no this isn't how it works. If it worked like that humanity would have stayed in caves. Original revolutionaries do not hope to get rich. I hope that a truly revolutionary faction in CCP still exists. The critical turn that PRC will face is when the productive forces will mature, and the GDP growing spree ends, which is near, probably in a decade. The dillemma will be real and harsh. "Are we going to western style of plutocracy and growth stagnation or pave the way of a new collective mode of prosperity?" I am optimistic :)

I though it is the other way around take the money in form of capital gain tax and progressive tax but leave the man alone to make money. Chinese taxation system is unfair I know they don't have capital gain tax or property tax on real estate Not sure about other asset They need to change that and redistribute the income from the tax to subsidized housing for the poor and improve health care system for the poor . There is nothing wrong with being rich but China need a strong government to redistribute the wealth. I don't agree with socialism it kill the enterpreuneur spirit . China should learn from history and protect the legitimate wealth from the merchant class from arbitrary seizure.

Great, they are now setting up to even ban Chinese TVs probably, and eventually try to force every European, Latin American, Middle Eastern country to do the same.

What's next? WTF is China going to do about this? Just sit there while every single tech product is banned? Probably Chinese automobiles will be banned before they can even start competing en mass with Toyota or GM or VW. This is a joke.

They are trying to turn China into 1990s Iraq.
