Shanghai's Fangbang Middle Road has been drawing hordes of people following the introduction of giant cat murals on the walls.



Many locals, especially youngsters, have been flocking to the spot to take pictures with the cat murals, which were designed based on online submissions of cat images.







Giant prints of the photos have been plastered on the walls or doors of stores on the street, which connects an old-fashioned theatre in the western end to the eastern side near the Bund. [Photos by Gao Erqiang/chinadaily.com.cn]

Among the most prominent works on display is a giant cat graffiti on Fangbang Middle Road, which connects the Bund Finance Center with Yu Garden. Cartoonist and artist TANGO, who is well-known for his love of cats, created the graffiti as well as a host of other cat-related artworks for the festival.

Also on display are works by foreign artists like Magda Sayeg from the United States, and those by Chinese artists such as Leng Shu, Zhao Bandi, Zhao Yilun, and Liu Yi.

From May 7 to 28, the BFC Weekend Market, which is part of the festival, will showcase works by over 50 fashion and art brands and host street performances, handicraft fairs, and graffiti sessions.

Featuring large public artworks, exhibitions, fashion markets, art forums, and workshops, the 3rd Bund Art Festival kicked off on May 6 in Shanghai. [Photos provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

To meet the transportation demand of a new energy vehicle project of Chinese automaker BYD in Hefei, Anhui province, Huainan West Station and Bengbu Freight Center of China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group are actively carrying out NEV railway transportation business.

The Shuijiahu freight station ensured the safe and smooth transportation of NEVs and reduced the logistics cost through improving the stock capacity, optimizing the transportation plan, speeding up the turnover of vehicles and improving the loading efficiency.

At present, Shuijiahu freight station transports more than 8,500 new energy vehicles per month, according to a Xinhua report.
