It looks like a touch screen monitor; however, they have a plastic layer sticking on the screen that prevent us from identify if it is a touch screen or not. Or they just allow students surfing around with mouse only? It doesn't make sense to use a computer without keyboard.

Could be a plastic layer to prevent light glare on the computer screen for older models.

Beijing is on its sixth day of an "orange" smog alert - the second-highest on the scale - with the air tasting gritty and visibility down to a few hundred metres. The choking smog has seen sales of anti-pollution products boom and online face-mask stores were struggling to meet demand. Here, the smog and failed traffic lights cause traffic chaos at a Beijing crossroads




Beijing's official smog reading for PM 2.5 - small airborne particles which easily penetrate the lungs and have been linked to hundreds of thousands of premature deaths - stood at 501 micrograms per cubic metre on Wednesday afternoon. The World Health Organisation's recommended safe limit is 25.

it's the steel mills. travel back a century ago to London or Pittsburgh, it was said that a man could put on a pure white shirt step outside and walk to work, this shirt would be black as coal when he got to the next block.
the PRC's offical statement is that Polution cost China 3% of GDP, but that number has not changed in 10 years. many say it's much higher.
