The helicopeter has an engine transplanted from an agricultural motorcycle with skeletons made of angle iron and stainless steel tubes. Each rotor is simply a welding of four steel plates. The helicopter's control system including accelerator, clutch and joystick comes from a motorcycle. The helicopter completed a flight test with the fuselage hopping by 40 centimeters from the ground, according to Li. The giant panda "Long Sheng" walks in Zhengzhou Zoo, central China's Henan Province., on March 17, 2014. The zoo has been ordered by the State Forestry Administration to ban all the panda-related exhibition activities and improve its sanitary systems and management after the death of female giant panda "Jinyi' on Feb. 9.
Editor's note: Seven-year-old female giant panda "Jinyi" died on Feb. 9 at a zoo in central China's Zhengzhou City. A virus analysis conducted by the Changchun Military Veterinary Research Institute shows that the death of "Jinyi" was caused by a parasitic disease.
A group of experts sent by the State Forestry Administration (SFA) conducted on-site assessments of the zoo in the following days. The final report shows that the zoo is not qualified for panda breeding due to its poor sanitary facilities and disease transmission risks.
On March 10, the SFA approved a series of punitive measures over the zoo. According to the measures, the zoo is ordered to immediately ban all the panda-related exhibition activities and improve its sanitary systems and management. All the giant pandas fostered in the zoo will be recalled by the China Research and Conservation Center for Giant Pandas based in Wolong, Sichuan Province.
