Chinese Aviation Industry

Equation

Lieutenant General
The Chinese leadership invested a huge amount of political capital into COMAC, as the core of the effort to reverse the bad image of Made in China. If they end up with a China-only product, a lot of people will find them behind the bars.

And a lot of naysayer and pessimist will be wrong as usual. The Chinese has a strong program going and will be able to keep it going, unlike Boeing and Airbus who has to sell so much planes just to make a profit because of rising cost in R&D, manufacturing, and materials. As a result they will have a very difficult time keeping up with the current pace. The China so called "bad image" problem comes from the media continuous repetitive bashing because it doesn't want to see China's Aviation industry or any industry to succeed.

Excellent!!

The civil aviation sector is pouring it's resources into these projects and they just need to keep pushing

Progress is slow but in the end trust me it's going to pay off

They need to expand the sector and open it up and develop it further

I wonder if they get help from the military sector

Not sure if this is official because it shows stuff being speculated like the stealth strike bomber.

To admit I don't think so Especially since all failed fighter projects like the DF-104, DF-107, DF-113, J-10 to J-13 as well as the H-7 developments are from my book (and as Such J.P. Santiago's drawings) !

By the way is there a full-size version available where You can even read what's written under them ??? Esp. this Tu-144/Concorde-like supersonic airliner looks interesting, but this one is totally new to me.

Given the chart's willingness to include foreign made airliners, one wonders why there weren't more Boeings and a few Airbuses in the chart as well.

The criterion for inclusion in the chart is that the aircraft in question must have served or was intended to serve in the PLAAF. Some Russian airliners were used as electronic warfare aircraft plus other purposes, and multiple 737s were used as VIP transport or modified for specific experiments. As far as I know, the vast majority of aircraft on Boeing and Airbus catalogues have not served in the PLAAF and thus must be exempt from the chart.

Thanks, that makes sense.
