J-31 is not a UCAV, if anything LingLong would be the J-31. From the design we've seen so far, it has high potential for naval aviation, and would be China's 2nd generation naval fighter, J-15 being the 1st gen.

He translated it wrong. It says "Export medium stealth fighter", not UCAV, and anyone else who can read Chinese will tell you the same. Project 310 is "J-31".

my mistake, misread that. i did the translation work myself, it was pretty late and i was a bit tired. you are right, it does say Export Medium Stealth Fighter

no the way i read it, its product planning... meaning its still in planning phase before any material being poured into making anything.

Which wouldn't make sense, considering that the H-X bomber, SAC fighter bomber, J-10C, and such, are already in developmental stage, not planning phase. This list seriously needs to be reviewed.

Ah, thanks for the good work then, tough to not make a mistake for lists this long!

as someone has stated earlier, this list is probably out of date.

Comac is said to be delaying first flight of C919 to 2015:

Commercial Aircraft Corp. of China will delay the maiden test flight of the country’s first large passenger plane to 2015 from an earlier plan for next year, four company officials familiar with the plan said.

Comac, as the company is also known, delayed the flight of C919 because of certain procedures that aren’t linked to technical matters, the people said, declining to be identified as the information isn’t public. The Shanghai-based planemaker may notify suppliers about the decision as early as this month.

Another source identifies that two major suppliers have either backed out or reduced their commitments, namely CFM, providing the LEAP-X engine is no longer planning to to proceed with an assembly line within China for the engine, and GKN backed out as the supplier for the horizontal tail assembly, meaning Comac will need to find and secure a new subcontractor. Concerns over intellectual property and the business case for the airplane are cited as the reason for CFM.

The best options for the C919 engines are either to procure the PW1000G engines or accelerate development of domestic alternatives to the CFM engines.

Problem is with the PW1000G engine, it's too small to power the C919, and a domestic engine will delay the C919 to the point where competitors will have their aircraft flying and in service for at least a couple of years, which will render the C919 technically obsolete before it flies. With the potential for certification delays like on the ARJ-21, any slippage of the schedule beyond what has already occurred will cut into the C919's business case.
