Sure it could do 100Kph if you strip off all the armor and turret. Its a convenient range. 100KPH is 62MPG which is faster that a 90% of the worlds tracked vehicles. Faster then that is the Howe and Howe tech Ripsaw at 95MPH but its a aluminum chassis with tracks and a engine. There are also hybrid vehicles modern half track ATVs that can push to 115mph. But again they weigh nothing just a chassis and a seat. After that its wheeled platforms.

I can see why Chinese tanks might be are hard to export. The buyer and operator will have a little difficulty in reading the dials and instrument panel.:p:eek:

I believe the export version would have English labels but that panel is really badly made!

I read that the type 05 amphibious IFV can travel up to 45 Km/h or 25 Knots through water. Is that considered reasonably standard speed for these types of vehicles?

Source? I think it can only do about 16 knots.

Anyway, AAV is about 7 knots in water, and the now dead EFV was meant to do 25 knots. So ZBD05 is currently the world's fastest in service AAV.

Here's a good video showing ZBD05's speed (although this is the wrong thread for it)

Actually now I checked it is 40 Km/h not 45 (said so in the video you posted). I can't find the IFV thread.
