this is a good photo, i never can tell the difference between the ZDK-03 AWACS platform that Pakistan Air Force got and this plane, they both look the same to me, yet they always say it is a “modified Y-8 platform”

never the less this is a good aircraft and should be a candidate for Pakistans new fleet of transport aircraft, i think if we can buy 12 of these machines this would give a good airlift capability to the Special Service Wing (SSW) which is an independent commando division of the Pakistan Air Force, It is an elite special operations force and newest military division of the Special Forces Command of Pakistan Armed Forces

they are very highly trained and equipped, used to drop in behind enemy lines to carry out operations deep inside foreign territory, what they lack is an independent airlift capability which can deploy them anywhere at anytime

having 12 x Y-9 aircraft would allow Pakistan to drop battalion sized force

it looks like they got it from sinodefence, which was using the stats for the Y-8X class. The Y-8X project was abandoned for the less risky Y-9 project, which from what I can see, is almost exactly the same as category III y-8 platform.

it was selected because it is one of the best balanced close in guns in the world which is ideal for long foot patrols which is why Pakistan won gold medal in 2010 at the Cambrian Patrols an annual international military patrolling exercise held in Wales

jackliu Is right Fn F2000 with out the grenade launcher but with the optical sight. 16 inch barrel and foreword ejection but lets stick with the transports
Note the vertical stakes on the Tail I know we have all seen that on the Awacs Versions But that's not on older Y8's

The rifle doesn't look too bad. As long as its reliable and does the job properly, that's the main thing.

China is working these planes

I dont know weather, is correct to say "acceptance act", for the russian "акт приемки", may be "comissioning agreement", my , english skills dont go that far, but I guess, its easy, to make a conclusion even with the help of "google translator" :
