is a complete mess. The regime they have been backing for 20 years collapsed like a pack of cards. This is the most extraordinary exit which represents the ultimate humiliation: Martin Jacques

I was thinking that Quad on Taliban ultimately wants to box China.

Well it's hard to say. I think their attempts at creating internal turmoil for China were not working as well as they hoped as even a few key American figures are candid or decent enough to admit to in recent years. They could use a border disturbance but you gotta ask why they didn't put more effort in this direction when they were more in direct control of things there. It could also be taking a step back to distance themselves. Suspicions no doubt are cast but a clean slate is approached with good faith.

This is what happens if you trust America.

A frog being stuck in the landing bay would be hilarious if it wasn't so gory.
@Insignius bro should serve as an eye opener for us Filipino, not so much shown in our News mostly from Social media. But the problem is most of our elites hold dual passport and those who advocate for tougher action against China can leave anytime leaving the mess to us patriotic Filipino to clean up . I think the debate is starting among the intellectuals about abolishing dual citizenship, if it happen we can develop and promote our national identity . We the Hua Qiao since ancient times is more patriotic than those so called Filipino, we led a lot of revolt against the Spaniards, the reason for the existence of the oldest Chinatown (binondo) in the world is to control the movement of the Chinese within the range of their cannons at Fort Santiago and most of our national heroes are Hua Qiao.

Interesting take on the fall of Afghanistan and who profit from debacle

Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas) took to Twitter with a claim that more than 30,000 US troops were stationed in Taiwan, riling Chinese officials. China is conducting war games off the coast of Taiwan and ratcheting up its criticism of Washington’s $750 million arms deal with the island country. Beijing does not recognize Taiwanese sovereignty and views the US presence there as a threat to its vital national interests. Meanwhile, media sources controlled by Beijing point to the US withdrawal from Afghanistan as an illustration of what Taiwan should prepare for, if it puts too much trust in the US. RT America's John Huddy reports. Then former Pentagon official Michael Maloof weigh in on China's "psychological warfare" and how escalation between Beijing and Washington could put us on the brink of a new world war. (

) Then RT America's Faran Fronczak breaks down the astronomical spending involved in the US invasion of Afghanistan before discussing the tremendous profits defense contractors reaped from the war and the interlock between the boards of these too-big-to-fail companies and the Defense Department. (

We cannot requite injustice with kindness when it come to US
When it comes to the US, we can't requite injustice with kindness. Cooperation must benefit both sides. If it's more beneficial to the US side, we must negotiate terms with it & ask it to make concessions in other areas to return China's goodwill.

We need to start putting the work in and one thing we have to our favor is patience and consistency. So hopefully the target is to make 50 years progress in only 15 years and 75 years progress in only 20 years. Their will be developments in roads and buildings but the focus won't be likely building skycrappers just moderately good infrastructure but the biggest advancement and target will be the critical areas such as health care, local defense industry, education, tourism, economy..

We don't want spoilers during our development phase in the region or neighbourhood it doesn't align with our interests. Joining the Pakistani-Chinese nexus aligns with our regional interests and the BRI will be a welcomed project in IEA held Afghanistan.

IEA is like a newly hatched egg and it has to start growing naturally and hopefully it will happen at the speed of an actual duck
bravo, well said.
the new IEA should look East for its aspirations, visions and hope for the future, not west.
as Biden admitted, US was in Afghanistan for American interests, Afghan development was never in their sight.
the IEA should send a delegation to Xinjiang and take a real hard look there to learn how to govern their country.
You can only build on social harmony, peace and equality for all citizens, male or female.
there are 2 Chinese sentiments / sayings I would like to share here:
1) you take the country on horseback, but must climb down to rule it. meaning tyranny and force will certainly lead to downfall.
2) women uphold half of the heaven. meaning equality and equal opportunity to both genders is very important.

just my 2 cents.

Actually, it means much more than that.

It means that Afghanistan will have a chance at stability, which means that it can join the BRI. Afghanistan as part of the BRI will give China easy access to two different ports, one in Iran and one in Pakistan.
That totally depends on how the Taliban 2.0 handles themselves in this world...personally, I'm still running impressions based on Taliban 1.0. If they're smarter this time round they should know the hard part only begins now...

Actually, for the Chinese public it was "excitement" "elation" because of you-know-what, but despite that tweet has been deleted(I wonder why), comments on it can still be found and ironically, those from Taiwan and the US using terms such as "dangerously wrong" regarding that John Cornyn's tweet.
