Really worried about the effect of all these constellations on astronomy and space fairing. There will no doubt be collisions, and that could make getting to space much harder if not impossible to do safely.
In 1097 x 1110 km x 86.5 deg orbits
10 GW sats observed over Switzerland
10 GW sats observed over Switzerland
how big one satellite is, i mean they required biggest rocket LM5 just for 10 satellites only ??
Another rocket lifted off yesterday:北京时间2024年12月17日2时50分,我国在太原卫星发射中心使用长征二号丁运载火箭,成功将航天宏图PIESAT-2 09~12星发射升空,卫星顺利进入预定轨道,发射任务获得圆满成功。
此次任务是长征系列运载火箭的第553次飞行。
Maybe each one has massive through-put. Considering Qianfan already exist it does make sense for Guowang to consist of smaller number of higher capacity, higher orbit satellites, rather than just duplicate Qianfan. So it's really only 10 satellites for this big long march 5B rocket. Qianfan is launching 18 sats on much smaller rocket, I think we need more info what was the reason for the biggest rocket to launch, maybe the first satellites are different to the ones that will follow
Another rocket lifted off yesterday:
China launched PIESAT-2 No.09~12 satellites by a CZ-2D rocket from Taiyuan SLC in 02:50(UTC+8), December 17, 2024. This is the 533rd CZ series rocket launch.
