Another day yet another butthurt Jai Hind. This time this genius is poo pooing the recent successful landing of China's Mars mission and saying it's a fail. But please sir, Israel we love you and America too.

I'm not attacking you but it's best for the sanctity of the thread that we reconsider and reconsider again before posting news about what foreigners think of China's Space exploration.

Space is supposed to be sacred. I really don't hold much optimism that humans can be an interplanetary species (forget going beyond the oort cloud). Before these grand dreams become a reality, the human society have a high chance of suffering collapse/blight due to wars, pandemics, resource crunch etc

Yes, we dont want this thread to become too much political. IMO Major Western Media reactions are ok, but random tweets, videos and articles from "nobodies" should be kept off this thread

I will definitely refrain from posting needless nonsensical post from our friends into a thread that should be strictly science-based/space related achievements. My apologies.

There will always be some politically motivated people trying to talk down China's achievements. But recent progress in China's space program should give China some "breathing" room and shut down some nonsense.
Being number two is a comfortable position, China should be able to act with ease, take a moderate and steady approach to reach her goals. I don't mind at all if US goes back to the moon or land on Mars first. There are other equally, if not more, important things for China to tackle.

Lol

Okay you know what, normally us folks here take a pretty dim view on the US but on this occasion I'm going to say right on, good on him. If US and China must compete I much rather it be Space Race 2.0 rather than sinking that money into aircraft carriers and stealth bombers. At least with a space race some science gets done on the side and in time it will benefit all mankind.
