I agree. What Yutu really stands for will merely be mentioned as a side-note, just like with Tiangong and Shenzhou. And really, if what you immediately think about when you hear "Jade Hare" is a porn actress....well, I think that says more about your cultural background rather than the English language.
Personally I only think it's a bit clonky (albeit cute), but tbh so are ANY Chinese names you can think of if you actually translate them into English. That's what you get with such different cultures and linguistic traditions.....
If people were so concerned about what astronomical names really sound like in English, they would never have named Uranus Uranus, and not Venus Venus, which unlike Yutu, actually IS comparable to a porn actress.
