Not sure if this move is aimed at intimidating China but I'm pretty sure it will have no such effect

Supporting evidence to my prior response on this post:

"This study finds that Beijing anticipates an intensifying naval rivalry with Tokyo in the coming years. According to the Chinese narrative, a combination of competitive impulses, insecurity, ill will, and deeply ingrained cultural traits have inclined Japan to perceive China’s naval ascent as a grave threat. Japan, so goes this logic, will do its utmost to frus-trate Chinese maritime ambitions. In conjunction with its U.S. ally, Tokyo will organize a coalition of like-minded maritime powers to surround and counterbalance China at sea. In Chinese eyes, Sino-Japanese maritime competition and naval confrontation are virtually fated."

The Chinese have anticipated this move years ago if we're to believe the Japanese study.

From a 2020 Chinese Naval Study conducted by the Japanese Defense Force Navy titled Dragon Against the Sun.

The Philippines has intensified its Drama Offensive against China..

IMO, its quite silly for the Philippine government to use these fishermen as tools in its propaganda campaign in the SCS.

Historically we can find many examples of warmongering corelating to worsening of economies. Part of the reason is that the politicians want to move the attentions of their citizens from the woe of economic situation to sensational foreign relationships and conflicts.

Current increasingly heightened tension in SCS tend to fit this scenario. It seem to be a part of the current economic war between China and US + allies. US is using Philippines to start a restricted confrontation with China but without spreading to a full fledge war, but this is a very dangerous game if US mis-calculated the Chinese response.

I don't think China want a war since their economy is doing well but if shooting starts we can expect Philippines to lose the few islands and reefs currently under their control.

To be honest, I don't think that China is very serious in doing confrontation with Philippine. Because if they do, Those Moro and Communist Rebels in Philippine will suddenly has full weapons, and Philippine will become chaotic. Specially when the country is so fragile like that.

Non interference bro, whatever provocation from the Chihuahuas and American bulldog, the Chinese always adhere to their core principle.
and Philippine will become chaotic. Specially when the country is so fragile like that.
Thus the emotional and irrational outburst, the political elites butterflies and oligarchs like in America had a realization that the public is well inform and they're trying steer the conversation away from their incompetence and traitorous act. The Filipinos are suckers for Telenovenas and what the gov't and the oligarch MSM is doing is providing the entertain that will channel their economic frustration to an outsider and rally around the flag. Is it working? A BIG NO because Marcos and his cohorts lack the charisma to pull a publicity stunt, just look at ANO and Teodoro reaction, even a kindergarten can see that both of them are clowns and are happy to see them....lol

Philippine TV dramas also include serials and anthologies, usually shown weekly. These dramas have a finite number of episodes and usually last one season, again depending on ratings.
