Marcos keeps big survey lead

FORMER senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. continued to dominate presidential surveys, posting a double-digit lead in the latest Laylo Research poll.

Marcos got 61 percent voter preference among the 3,000 respondents in the survey, indicating that he had the support of the majority of Filipinos, with six out of 10 voters choosing him over the other candidates.

At a very distant second was Vice President Maria Leonor "Leni" Robredo with 19 percent.

I will make a prediction, the American focus NOW is PLAN Z yes Plan Z since their earlier Plan A,B,C and D all failed. What is the detailed of the plan, to pack the Senate with PRO American Senators and do an Ides of March on him. Will it work? No cause Duterte is still there, with her daughter as VP , the family influence will remained. Even IF they assassinate BBM, in our election law a family member can replace him ( Imee Marcos) since the Marcos name is already printed in the ballot, with ground swell support that replacement will surely win, making the Philippines the first to have an all female team in both the position of Presidency and the VP.

And any assassination will be blame to the Americans, so it will be counter productive and they knew it.

So in the past few weeks, there has been a flurry of new activity orchestrated by elements of the American 5th column agents within the Philippines with the intention to provoke another conflict with China in the SCS, all these efforts are obviously meant to influence the upcoming elections in the country to ramp up support for politicians with anti-China platforms as directed by their American handlers.

The recent events involving escalatory provocation is consistent with the US playbook in other parts of the world where American terrorism is rampant

After a period of calm, suddenly the Philippine coast guard is "confronting" Chinese vessels in the SCS

Then one of the chief 5th columnists in the country working for the Americans chimes in amid the recent incident and drops a suggestion that US weapons need to be "prepositioned" in the country to repulse a nonexistent Chinese plan to invade

And all this drama happened shortly after the US vowed to help the Philippines defend its claims in the SCS

What an Iconic bridge, every time you see it you can feel the warmth of friendship it symbolized, so we learned and we prefer the walk to talk.

True, joint infrastructure projects like this bridge is really important to show to the average Filipino that partnership with China bears fruit and at the same time debunk narratives propagated by elements working for the west that business deals with China are going nowhere like what this propaganda piece is trying to push:

Meanwhile, it seems Duterte is set to meet with Xi in a few days, I hope they can discuss ways on how to sustain the gains of the current friendly relations between the two countries and perhaps maybe work up a plan to prevent the American sponsored 5th column agents from taking over the country's leadership.

@PhSt bro the Americans are desperate and the loudmouth elites in MM doesn't represent the Majority of the Filipinos. And they didn't earned any commission from the deal since it's a gov't to gov't agreement....lol

Bro there is a huge project funded by China the PNR South Rail, this project will benefit the bailiwick of Pro American candidate Leni Rebredo, do you think she will cancel the project IF elected? Well since she is a dumb politician she will BUT will her kababayan (provincial person) allow it? People in the provinces are desperate for economic development, this project was given priority by Duterte at the expense of his home province of Mindanao to show that he is fair and a President to all. This kind of gestures will be remembered cause it will improve their livelihood and China knows it. They're suck at propaganda so how to debunk them? create something positive, let your work speak for itself. ;)

China said let's walk the talk!

While in America let's talk the talk!

See the difference.

And how is it gonna change the actual situation?

China's gonna go welp, let's pack up all our stuff on the artificial constructed islands and head home?

No, so then what?

Well in the end a conflict would be needed (and China needed to lose in such a conflict) if one wanted to say drive the PLAN out of the SCS, which I see as quite unlikely (not to mention the US already backed down once).

And so if China is not gonna retreat from the SCS then what? Well diplomacy and cooperation in how to share and use resources in the area, which to my knowledge is something that is being worked on.

EDIT: Not to mention the Hague ruling did jack shit as well.

What's there to dispute? The only persistent country disputing Chinese claims on the South China Sea is with the Philippines provided by Mr.Carpio who's claim to fame is being a former Supreme Court Justice of the Philippines. Other than that, the man isn't exactly a legitimate historian other than being a perpetual anti-China fella, and a warmonger busy proclaiming without evidence that China is interested in "invading the PHILIPPINES" for reasons unknown to the Chinese other than what exist in the mind of the self-appointed general of the non-existent military under chicken hawk Carpio.

But to suggest that the U.S. and the rest of the Euopean colonial powers have more claims in South East Asia, in the South China Sea to be exact is even more hilarious.
