POGO MONEY!! OOPS!! perhaps the Marcos stolen wealth....NEVER!!!
You know what bro how many soldiers serve in the Philippine Army? about 75,000 men, the navy 35,000 including 7,000 marines, airforce? nearly 14,000, you add it up about 134,000 personnel spread through out the archipelago, majority of them about 45% are station in Mindanao, so you can see the fear that the Top military brass and Marcos of a coup and the reason why they station a lot of them in far flung places. What about the PNP? they numbered about 250,000 with 9,000 fully equip SAF trooper, this combat unit is raised by FVR as a PNP mobile force or more importantly a counter coup. A regiment of 1,800 men were permanently station around Metro Manila (a battalion in Cavite in the south, a battalion in Nueva Ecija in the north and the most important in Taguig in Metro Manila).

The SAF are fully equip and armed compare to the Army, so you get my drift bro , these unit are Marcos first line defense against any coup attempt as the closest major Army units are base in Fort Magsaysay 125 km north of Metro Manila and it takes 3 hours for them to reach the metropolis. So that threat had been neutralized as any large military movement can be monitor and SAF can create a blocking force with multiple reinforcement coming from nearby province of Laguna, Batangas and Bulacan.

From what I mentioned above what will a military coup look like? Answer, A mass defection of AFP units station in Mindanao and secede from the republic. Can it succeed? definitely as Marcos don't have the necessary forces to counter attack as most of those soldiers are battle hardened from continuous counter insurgency campaign.

If Mindanao secede others will follow and only the Island of Luzon will remain carrying the name of Republic of the Philippines.

If this is only a verbal objection as China has clearly known about this from the start, this is some chess they're playing.

Also: Vietnam is set to construct a railway to China. Not mentioned here is that it'll very likely be built by China and will use standard gauge.

PLA expels Philippine aircraft from airspace near China's Nansha Qundao

BEIJING, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- China's military expelled three Philippine aircraft that illegally entered the airspace near China's Nansha Qundao in the South China Sea on Thursday, according to a military spokesperson.

The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Southern Theater Command tracked and warned off two C-208 aircraft and one N-22 aircraft of the Philippines found in the airspace near China's Nansha Qundao, according to Tian Junli, a spokesperson for the command.

Tian criticized recent Philippine actions, accusing Manila of repeatedly distorting China's legitimate and lawful maritime rights, and of engaging in smear campaigns.

In a separate incident on Feb. 18, a Philippine aircraft unlawfully entered Chinese airspace over Huangyan Dao, erratically altering altitude multiple times, noted Tian. The Philippine aircraft descended 920 meters in just 218 seconds and deliberately flew close to a Chinese patrol helicopter, he said, describing the maneuver as "unprofessional and dangerous."

The spokesperson condemned the Philippines for falsely claiming that China's actions were "dangerous," and said Manila was trying to promote its unlawful claims by distorting the facts.

"Such clumsy tactics are destined to fail," Tian warned, adding that Chinese forces remain on high alert to defend national sovereignty and maintain peace and stability in the South China Sea.

While well outside the SCS this is most likely a response to Australia's FON and Orion P8 flights in the SCS
The flotilla is now 200km off the coast of the largest city (Sydney) and conducting live firing drills

I like this part of the conversation. (Not their exact words)

Anchor person:
Since China is sending their navy to our door steps, shouldn't we send our ships to South China Sea as tic for tac?

Guest instead of answering the question, said:
We had sent our aircraft and ships to China's door steps at South China and East China Sea for FON, and now China is doing the same to us.....
