The impeachment case had reach the senate for decision BUT the Senate President Escudero who is a TRAPO had refuse to form a panel to hear the case citing there is not enough time due to the incoming May election. A wise decision cause he know that history will judge him unkindly if he proceed. So what is happening? Marcos , to all intents and purposes is a lame duck president, nobody will listen to him even if he bride his way, the senators and congressman will take his money and go with the flow BUT at the end of the day, they will act on their self interest. Right now there are dissenting voices like congressman Marcoleta questioning the PCG spokesperson Tarriela about his warmonger remarks against China and in return he called him a traitor which is an insubordination for a Serving Personnel to accused an elected official without any evidence. That's the theme of Marcos 2025 election campaign, the China threat, will it sway the voters? Definitely not!!!! we want economic results not empty promises and propaganda. The Marcos family especially his cousin Romauldez is dead set to impeach the VP, that's their Plan A cause if the impeachment succeed he will be next in line and Sarah Duterte is disqualify to run in the 2028 presidential election, making sure the continuation of the Marcos family rule.
And a side note this Senator Pimentel is an example of the toxic Traditional Politics that become more prevalent since Marcos had assume the presidency, he is from Mindanao and had serve as Senate president under the Duterte administration, he and his dad is a major opponent of the elder Marcos during Martial law and now he is supporting the impeachment, this SOB of a Senator want Mindanao to recognized him as their leader instead of the Dutertes.
