Unlike that ruined landing ship, BRP Teresa Magbanua is very new and have more than single digit crew onboard, hence why its resupply situation is very different. From all the noise in recent days and the ramming that limit is fast approaching.

If PCG really wants to find out the limit of human body in enduring dehydration CCG already have that rescue ship parked nearby for life threatening situations.

The natural gas field in Philippines is depleting, how will it affect the Philippines? There is definitely no gas field exploration in any dispute area with the cold relationship between china and Philippines currently. It will surely cost them money to buy LNG at the high price if the gas will be needed.

Marcos isn't running our foreign policy regarding the SCS, beside the American it was the oligarch Manny Pangilinan. He hold the right to drill oil near the contested shoal, his greed is a major factor as he funded the arbitration ruling and his former employee Ramon Del Rosario, the former Foreign Secretary under Pinoy oversee his interest above that of the country. He sabotage the Joint oil exploration agreement between China and the Philippine when Marcos visited China cause his company isn't part of the plan agreement.

China tells Philippines to ‘immediately withdraw’ from contested South China Sea atoll

Beijing warns of ‘limit to our patience’ after Manila confirms one of its coastguard helicopters resupplied crew on ship at Sabina Shoal

Gan Yu, a China Coast Guard (CCG) spokesman, said the Chinese side had kept up close surveillance of the helicopter and the airdrop operation on Wednesday and “handled it according to rules”.

“Such risky behaviour by the Philippine side is highly prone to causing unexpected incidents at sea or in the air,” Gan said in a statement released on Thursday.

“We urge the Philippine side to immediately cease its risky actions as well as propaganda and hype, immediately withdraw vessel 9701 on its own and refrain from miscalculating the situation and escalating the situation, otherwise the Philippine side will be held fully responsible for all consequences arising therefrom.”

China’s defence ministry issued a similar statement on Thursday warning Manila not to test Beijing’s patience.

“China is committed to properly managing differences through dialogue and consultation, but there is a limit to our patience,” said Wu Qian, the ministry’s spokesman.

“The Philippine side should take immediate action to remove its vessels and personnel from Sabina Shoal and restore it to an uninhabited and facility-free state.”

Wu further accused the US of being the “biggest black hand stirring up the situation in the South China Sea and the biggest destroyer of peace and stability in the South China Sea” by “encouraging, supporting and endorsing” actions by the Philippine side.

Missed opportunity to test out the 055's CIWS system on the parachute drop.

Neither party has used any guns so far in this dispute (or the one at Second Thomas), even for warning shots. It's in the Chinese interest to keep things that way, what with the obvious advantage in hull count/nonlethal capabilities. If the Philippines wants to escalate to lethal weapons, it will be on them.

Helicopters are only a stopgap which cannot sustain the ship indefinitely. There is no need to hurry.

Since China has already used water cannons in its encounters with Filipino trespassers in the past, perhaps China can deploy two or more ships around BRP teresa magbanua and hose the ship in perpetuity, sooner or later it will be forced to leave its spot, or else the water cannons will have a compounding effect on its more vulnerable parts, like the comm tower, a sustained water cannon fire could even break the windows in the ship's bridge, destroying more of its electronics, and maybe even cause enough damage to the helipad to prevent future air resupply attempts.

In other news, PH is considering purchasing long-range missiles to threaten Chinese mainland cities.

I wonder where will they be getting the budget for that. Sm6/tomahawks aren't exactly cheap; at $50 million a pop, that's already billions in Philippine peso.
