Despite all their talk of "de-escalation", it would not be surprising for the entire PH government to double-down on their SCS propaganda campaign, especially towards local audiences. They will use it to cover up more pressing issues like runaway inflation, price increases and below-lackluster economic growth.

SCS conflict like most other naval conflict is entirely based on industry. No amount of human wave is going to actually make a difference. Technically Phillipines have some of the most experienced sailors as it is one of their major exports, yet because of a non-existent industry, they are forced to face modern destroyers with inflatable boats. That makes all the bluster more hilarious since it's equivalent to old man yells at cloud level of delusion.
