So long as no nuclear nation is invading each other it shouldn't be an issue, border skirmishes shouldn't instigate nukes. This medieval combat is pretty interesting, we some how went back in time, all the fantasy fair folk will be rushing to China and India now to enact their deepest fantasy. But this who has the pointier stick thing is pretty ridiculous when its getting to this stage, just shoot if you got to shoot. It's completely in the realm of something India wants and is delving into, China's response to India's plays so far has been top notch.
I don't think they will realistically use clubs to beat Indians. Rather they will just be used to softly ward intruding hordes away after crowd control weapons get most of them running. Like how Indians softly ward cows off the roads with sticks.

When did China ever initiate with deadly force against India in recent time? Every time indians died, it was because they were suppressed with crowd control and caused casualties through stampede, not because Chinese troops were bashing in their skulls. And that time when Indian units killed a Bhutanese or possibly Chinese civilian worker, it seems that the perpetrators were shot execution style by the PLA but further weapons were again not used besides the standard means of warding indians away from places they shouldn't be in.

You can use these spiked clubs to push away intruders non lethally. In that case, the spikes are only to scare the crowd, not cause injury, as there won't be enough force to cause bleeding.

It's a very good deterrent, you naturally avoid pointy dangerous things, to not goes against all your basic human instincts of self-preservation. It's master class because the very purpose and creation of these weapons was first and foremost for intimidation purposes, to look imposing and dangerous. These things can kill if required, anything can be used to kill, but like you mention it's mainly a deterring factor like barbed wire on a farm to keep the farmers cattle contained.

US Army War College report on PLA logistics:

I appreciate this being included early so I don't take too long to click x on the browser tab.
The PLA Navy has a low number of replenishment ships given the size of the combatant fleet.
Times must be really lean at the Pentagon if they're considering going into stand up comedy.

Dear China,

I am an American citizen recently your ballon caused quite a stir . But i am not upset but disappointed. I was told this ballon carried an emp that would knock out our grid which would be followed by hordes of clearly inferiorly equipped and trained PLA troops storming our country and imposing a communist dictatorship at gun point. This is only made possible by your crafty subversion of our clearly supperior government. I lay awake in terror of the thought that your troops would force us to live with highspeed rail , a modern communications infrastructure , regulated industry, an effective forestry management program, an education system that leads to one of the worlds highest population iq levels, a lack of superstition evidence based healthcare decisions and low crime due to good socioeconomic policy and policing. Oh as well as police who won’t shoot me, those bullet wounds cost me a ton in the hospital but it is just the cost of freedom. Since you failed at these tasks i am asking of you to either send a tier 1 special forces team to forcibly fight me and bring me to china clearly a fight you cannot win as your troops could never get me on a plane to such an awful country . Or you can just drop a nuke on my position yes nuke me right now ~~i cannot actually afford my healthcare please make my death fast and swift the diabetes and heart failure is too much to bare and i am bankrupting my family curse you mcdonalds.~~

Sincerely,
An american.

To mods idk if humor is appreciated here but shit after seeing the utter insane response in my country i need a laugh and a drink

Then they find that it really was a weather balloon and claim with a straight face that the satellite communications antenna is actually used for ELINT.

Wait a minute. Looks to me like the electronics module/ solar panels were blasted into smithereens.

They would literally have to read the tea leaves of the small pieces of broken debris to come out with anything. That is if they manage to find any of them on the ocean floor.
