As a newbie here, I have a question for all the J-16 afficionados :
Can anybody confirm me that the air intake grids system from the original Su-27 family was deleted on the J-16 design?
I have found some videos that seem to support my guess, but I’m not sure…

I am talking about the grids that were inside the air intakes of the Russian Su-27 family and that opened and closed when the aircraft was on the ground (à la Mig-29)Not sure what you are talking about. The inlet slits are there.

Not the inlet slits that are below the air intakes.
That I know,Even MIG-29K got rid of those. It is dead weight under most circumstances.
