Nice find! If I'm not mistaken, then we've seen Batch 11 J-16s for the first time in Oct. 2022 and later more with 111x within an ETC brigade. Again, if I'm not mistaken, this one cn. 1114 is the one with the highest number confirmed, but do we know anything about Batch 12 aircraft?

PS: Here is no. 1117 allegedyl spotted at Rugao, which makes it a bit complicated: Rugao was once home of the 86th AB, but this unit was allegedly abolished and Rugao is now a FOB or used by the 7th Air Brigade, usually at Jiaxing.

how close is J-11BG to J-11D?

A related question is how do the J-11D and J-16 compare in air superiority roles?

Since J-11D, J-11BG, and J-16 all have AESA radars, is there anything that significantly distinguish them in terms of their effectiveness in air superiority roles? Perhaps lower RCS for J-11D and J-16 due to greater use of composites?
