By tricking the plane that R77 and R73 was loaded. Can't remember but I read that years ago. Don't know if it's true.

Only ever seen PLAN Su-30s (MK2) armed w/ PL-12, but not PLAAF Su-30s, and the latter only has some combination R-27/73/77 for AAM
That's because PLAN has a greater urgency to switch to domestic missiles. PLAAF has plenty of advanced 4.5th gen and 5th gen fighter aircraft for intercept/air combat duties. PLANAF doesn't operate anything more advanced than J-10AH/J-15, and the latter is exclusively a carrier based fighter aircraft. Su-30MK2 is still an integral part of the PLAN fighter force whereas MKK isn't anymore for PLAAF.

oh, this remind me, how much different between Vietnam MK2 and PLA MKK, minor updates or identical?
Identical to PLANAF MK2 except that some capabilities are neutered due to funding.
