No ... "we" only had MiG-29s !

"we", also had 2 mig-29s at Quincy, Central Obamastan, and 2 Flankers at Rockford, in North Central Obamastan, I was able to go out on the flight line in Quincy, and inspect not only the two 29s, but a Mig-21 two holer, which I was offered a ride in, if I "showed up at the right time" ride". Those are kind of courtesy invitations that usually don't pan out, and I'm not to crazy about a ride in a Mig-21 anyway, given their high strung nature. The Quincy Migs had not been flown at that time, but several years ago "Natasha", flew several times. At that time they were known as "Red Air", owned by a former Top Gun instructor, who is also an heir of a well known card and candy chain, never hurts to have a little extra cash, but he did smuggle them out of a former Soviet Republic, himself, by riding in the trunk of a Mercedes, with two suitcases full of cash. I think the two Rockford birds have been sold to civilian users, possibly a flying museum out West???? brat

You never know. The SU-27s have been flying for a number of countries for a number of years.

Russia since 1985
Poland since 1985
China since 1992
Ukraine since 1992
Belarus since 1992
Algeria since 1992
Angola since 1993
Ethiopia since 1997
India since 2003
Indonesia since 2003
Eritrea since 2003
Uzbekistan since 2006
Vietnam since 2006
Venezuela since 2006
Kazakhstan since 2007
Malaysia since 2007
Uganda since 2011

So since kids are generally 7-8 years old in the second grade, anyone since 1997 would be over 25 years old. So, for someone who is 25 years old at least, thy could be from:

Russia since 1985 (Up to 36 years old)
Poland since 1985 (Up to 36 years old)
China since 1992 (Up to 29 years old)
Ukraine since 1992 (Up to 29 years old)
Belarus since 1992 (Up to 29 years old)
Algeria since 1992 (Up to 29 years old)
Angola since 1993 (Up to 28 years old)
Ethiopia since 1997 (Up to 25 years old)

Of course, it could also have been an airshow in several other countries, at a school near the air show, so that woud increase the countries too.

You make an excellent detective!

Well, that is a pretty limited list, but yeah, was just curious. I WANT to meet somebody who came from Red Dawn America, by Jove!

You mean someone who saw the original Red Dawn movie and liked it?

I saw it when it first came out and liked it...so if that is what you mean, you have already met one here online. There are several in this forum I believe who would belong to that club. LOL!

And limited? Take all of those nations (Russia, Poland, China, Ukraine, Belarus, Algeria, Angola, and Ethiopia), and color them in on a world atlas and you will see it is a pretty good chunk of the world in area, particularly of compared to Russia only. It is even a larger percentage of the world's population when you factor China in.

WOLVERINES!!
say what you want they did a good job with there research, and details both plot wise and technical expertise.
there is a story that during preproduction the CIA and USAF spotted the reproductions of Russian tanks via SR71 and U2 flights. They actually showed up asking what was up. After filming wrapped the CIA pretty much bought the mock ups.

popular bird and although only a handful you can add the USA To that list for private ownership and at least one military contact or who uses them for training.

It's technically sound, but strategically.. well, I hardly need to tell you gentlemen of the utter implausibility of us attempting such a thing, nevermind it succeeding. In the exceedingly unlikely event of us launching such a first strike... well, let's just hope PAVE PAWS realise they are transports and not, say, Tu-95s, or Red Dawn would become Fallout: The Movie. And then apparently we had to start a war with China.. at the same time. I think they did change some of the political background of the movie, but nothing is going to change the sheer logistical implausibility of such a thing-

Okay, let's get back to Chinese Flankers.
