The Liaoning will likely be stationed near the land base for the aircraft IMHO, I just wondered which of the named Naval bases might be most likely based on that criteria? Or are there several possibilities? Brat

They appear to be preparing an anchorage for the LIAONING in a small cove (35 43 47 N 120 01 00 E), appropriately named Xiaokou, just outside the North Sea Fleet main base at Qingdao-Jiaonan.

News that a j-15 is being repainted to be in service and that speculation/rumor that there might be as many as 12 j-15 being built over the span of 10 years. Can anyone confirm or shed more news? got this from my news radio.

IMO I think that's a SM and not a J-15S since it features the standard Russian wing-tip pylons (even if the J-16 has them too ??? ) and IMO it looks like having a long sting and it has the standard wings.

Waiting for more ... on the other side the primer colour is different !
