Yes, but if all the sudden 30% of the population in the US is Chinese you will have more than a Chinatown, that will create a significant culture, values and political shift. Well, also US PISA scores will increase.
Case in point is Canada, huge influx of indian population recent years, some municipalities are really feeling the pressure...

Apologies if this chart has been posted before. In it it shows that China's demographics will be alright if they implement policies through the end of this century that raises the fertility rate back up to 2.1.

That is highly unlikely, UN projection is closer to what will end up happening.

The wildcard is of course immigration, I think at some point it will happen to China like it did in other industrial natinos.

Or something in between, who knows. Either way the vast majority of jobs are going to be automated one way or another. Fewer people and more AI.

This have a lot union workers in the US nervous

I do think big danger is that after a huge investment in AI automation and a lot of jobs automated from healthcare to transportation THEN there is a population growth boom and instead of having a lot old people in their retirement you have dozen or even hundred of millions of young people without a job.
