That is why they are atomizing Chinese (and Indians for that matter) as much as possible. They know this already. At low pop % it is more efficient to atomizer, at high pop % it is more efficient to ghettoize.

That is highly unlikely, UN projection is closer to what will end up happening.Apologies if this chart has been posted before. In it it shows that China's demographics will be alright if they implement policies through the end of this century that raises the fertility rate back up to 2.1.
The wildcard is of course immigration, I think at some point it will happen to China like it did in other industrial natinos.
Or something in between, who knows. Either way the vast majority of jobs are going to be automated one way or another. Fewer people and more AI.

I do think big danger is that after a huge investment in AI automation and a lot of jobs automated from healthcare to transportation THEN there is a population growth boom and instead of having a lot old people in their retirement you have dozen or even hundred of millions of young people without a job.

Yeah it is from the superstition about dragon boy/girl. Probably will dip in year of the snake. Not many in China like snakes except for the Cantonese, and only then for culinary purposes.
