China Coast Guard and Patrol vessels

It looks like the new 4000 tonnes chinese coast guard ship will be decently armed, I'm guessing 76mm gun.

Several of the X401 and X40X had been launched with-out the 76mm gun, though the circular gun mountings are installed on the bow deck on all launched ships. In peace time these ships will be un-armed, the 76 mm guns will be mounted in war or extreme times.

I wonder why we haven't gotten any recent photos of the almost finished 12k tonner at JN...

I bet it should have been launched by now.

Just saw Yu1 posted this in keypublishing Naval Aviation forum today. ;)

Nice pic.

That is one huge Coast Guard Cutter. I will look forward to seeing it fully outfitted to see what normal weapons fit they add.

The second ship is far along beside it also.

I think there is a mount for the 76mm at the bow, like what they have for type 071.

This is HUGE!!! Btw the water level at the bow of the ship looks strange is it because the front gets narrower? The aft is wide and the middle part gets wider and thicker then the bow end starts to get sharpe and narrow
